Cliff Lee, Carl Crawford, Jayson Werth, Victor Martinez...all plucked from the free agent bin. There remains some quality players over the market though. I composed a full 25-man roster of the "leftovers" that have yet to ink deals and aside from the starting pitching, this squad would be very competitive. The outfield defense would suck, but whatever, they can hit at least.Starting Lineup:
C/Greg Zaun .265/.743, but in only 28 games.
1B/Adam LaRoche .261/.788, 75 R, 37 2B, 25 HR, 100 RBI
2B/Jerry Hairston Jr. .244/.652, 53 R, 13 2B, 10 HR, 50 RBI, 9 SB
3B/Adrian Beltre .321/.919, 84 R, 49 2B, 28 HR, 102 RBI
SS/Orlando Cabrera .263/.657, 64 R, 33 2B, 42 RBI, 11 SB
LF/Johnny Damon .271/.756, 81 R, 36 2B, 5 3B, 8 HR, 51 RBI, 11 SB
CF/Scott Podsednik .297/.724, 63 R, 14 2B, 7 3B, 6 HR, 51 RBI, 35 SB
RF/Manny Ramirez .298/.870, 38 R, 16 2B, 9 HR, 42 RBI
DH/Vladimir Guerrero .300/.841, 83 R, 27 2B, 29 HR, 115 RBI
Bench:
C/Josh Bard .214/.634, but in only 39 games.
UTL/Felipe Lopez .233/.656, 52 R, 18 2B, 8 HR, 37 RBI, 8 SB
OF/Andruw Jones .230/.827, 41 R, 12 2B, 19 HR, 48 RBI, 9 SB

I may take a chance on an "injury reclamation" guy over Rodrigo Lopez. If the Jeff Francis and Brandon Webb's of the world are healthy opening day, they surely have to offer more then Lopez.
Pretty decent team, but I think that starting 5 would get smacked.
Maybe a .500 team at best. :)
rhodes is with texas... lopez shouldn't be starting, a canidate for the worst starter in baseball... rather have molina than bard and felipe lopez than harriston in the 2b slot... hear greggs close to signing with baltimore
Rhodes was a free agent when I made this team. I'd use Dotel now instead.
Rodrigo Lopez ate 200 innings up last year. Sure he had a 5.00 ERA, but there's something to be said for that.
Also, didn't give Bengie Molina the catching gig because it appears he's retiring. Same reason I didn't include Pettitte as a starting pitcher.
Maybe Trevor Hoffman if he wasn't locked into the closer role.
Derek Lee should be in the mix.
